Founded in Chennai in 1990 by Mr. Gopalan R, Sertel grew from a small switchgear workshop into a DSIR-approved R&D centre, with three and a half decades of milestones in GPS time synchronisation and industrial instrumentation.

Sertel Electronics is an industrial electronics manufacturer headquartered in Chennai, India. For more than three and a half decades, we have designed, built and supported equipment that keeps critical infrastructure running on time, through GPS and NTP based time synchronisation, and industrial instrumentation.
Our product range covers GPS master clocks, NTP and PTP time servers, slave clock displays, GNSS receivers, alarm annunciation systems, signal conditioning and isolation equipment, plus a growing line of solar monitoring and meteorological instruments. Most of these product lines exist because a customer needed a problem solved locally instead of waiting on an import.
Every product is designed, manufactured, tested and supported from one facility in Chennai. There is no outsourced production line and no separate support desk. The engineers who built your equipment are the same people who answer when you call.
Customers including the Indian Space Research Organisation, Hindustan Aeronautics, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Indian Oil Corporation, NTPC and POWERGRID have run Sertel equipment for years, in several cases decades, without interruption.
