Direct Optical Viewing
The probe looks straight into the process. Nothing to foul, fog, spall or crack, so image quality on day 400 matches day one.
AIR-COOLED PROBE · UP TO 2000 °C
High Temperature Process Viewing Camera for Furnaces, Kilns and Boilers
The OFT-10 furnace viewing camera gives operators a live color picture of the inside of a furnace, boiler, or kiln. It does not need a viewing window in the wall. The high-resolution color CCD camera is enclosed in a 50 mm stainless steel probe that includes a multilayer air jacket. This construction lets the assembly run continuously at process temperatures up to 2000 °C. When the cooling air supply fails or a plant alarm occurs, a pneumatic mechanism pulls the probe back from the hot zone to shield the optics from heat damage.

Key Features
Six design decisions that separate the OFT-10 from a camera in a cooled box behind a glass port.
Direct Optical Viewing
The probe looks straight into the process. Nothing to foul, fog, spall or crack, so image quality on day 400 matches day one.
Multilayer Air Jacket
A triple-flow stainless housing routes cooling air in layers around the optics, sustaining operation at furnace temperatures up to 2000 °C.
Automatic Retraction
On alarm activation the assembly withdraws from the hot zone. Local isolation lets service crews inhibit auto-retract safely during planned maintenance.
Plant Air Operation
750 litres (25 ft³) per minute free air at 4–7 bar, drawn from the standard compressed air header. High-efficiency filters are supplied.
In-Situ Filter Change
Filters are replaced without withdrawing the camera from the furnace wall. Maintenance is a filter swap and a periodic retraction test, nothing more.
Aggressive Atmospheres
Optional ceramic coating over the stainless steel triple-flow housing for sulphurous, alkaline and chemically loaded furnace atmospheres.
Applications
Any process where operators are running blind, or reading a flame through a fouled sight glass, is a candidate. Continuous visibility of the burner, the charge or the flame envelope shortens response time on upsets and takes guesswork out of combustion tuning.
